Our goal at TIDE
Working with rural and peri-urban communities, we nurture skills, facilitate the creation of innovative enterprises-with a focus on green enterprises, and foster connections to vibrant employment opportunities.
Seeding diverse skillsets such as culinary arts and tailoring, our commitment extends to comprehensive training in digital expertise and entrepreneurship.
Mentoring and handholding our entrepreneurs is key. With a goal to increase incomes and provide financial stability, we help them launch new enterprises and elevate existing ones.
More than 40 organizations have partnered with us. Bringing sector specific unique knowledge and market linkages, they have helped create a supportive ecosystem for our first-time entrepreneurs.
The program has demonstrated notable results
- More than 40 organizations have partnered with us 15000 people have participated in our trainings.
- 300 food-based enterprises and 450 non-food enterprises have been established
- 100 digital enterprises have been set up.
- Recipients of our trainings have recorded a minimum 10% increase in their earnings.
Where
Our training is currently running in Tumkur, Shimoga and Chikkaballapur districts of Karnataka, as well as areas around peri-urban Bangalore.
In the next five years, our goal is to create 2000 new entrepreneurs who are profitable.
Empowering Women Through Technology
The technologies available at WTP are:
- Improved infrastructure provision (Integrated / decentralized solutions as pilot demonstrations) and sustainable services delivery
- Institutional and personnel capacity strengthening of municipalities.
- Improving the systems, guidelines, and standards to introduce integrated/decentralized water and sanitation solutions
- Advocating the water and sanitation agenda of the small municipality and the decentralized and integrated approach.
